Hi everyone Thanks so much for the information you've given me regarding the issue of death certificate, mine have now arrived and solve many mysteries. I am still trying to solve another mystery and to find out who a Margaret Cowan was. All I know is that she was born 1840 and died in 1922 in South Africa, and there is no death notice available for her. Margaret Cowan travelled with my grandmother to South Africa in 1906 and was a spinster 30 odd years older than my grandmother. I've considered two possibilities, firstly that she was a relative but am now wondering if she was perhaps a hired care giver. I'm not even sure if she was from Ireland or Scotland, and I think a possible key to the mystery is going to be the 1901 census which just may include her with the great grand parents family IF she was a hired hand.... or maybe even just a close family friend. Do you know when the 1901 census for Tyrone will be available on line? kindest regards Norah
