Hi Lyn, Do you have any more info on Joseph Cook? I fear it will be a very common name in Philadelphia (I have some Cooks who married in to collateral lines, so I pay a little attention to Cooks when I come across them, enough to get a sense that there are a far number of them). Is the "c.1848" in your subject line Joseph's YOB? or the time period you think he was in Phila.? Are you looking for him in the 1850 Phila. census? Can you tell us anything about spouse, children, siblings, parents -- anyone he might be associated with in Phila., so we can ID him from all the possible matches?
