    3. <<<<<I am fairly new to researching in Ireland, and at a loss as to how to find marriage, birth or death information. Is there any site such as the one England has for BDM's? With no census records available, how does one find any information about ancestors in Ireland? Help please!! thanks Dawn>>>>> Dawn Searching for relatives in Ireland can be hard but has just been made a lot easier by the LDS pilot site (free index search) having posted the All Ireland registry index. Of course that means you have to be looking for someone within the registry dates: http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start read the site's notes and they will tell you what dates are included. Using the volume and page number on the above site you can order copies at GRONI http://www.groni.gov.uk/sitemap.htm or the original LDS site for older records: http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp (free) There are other sites for which you can search the index and pay to see the records online. (can be expensive) https://brsgenealogy.com/ifhf/index.php http://www.emeraldancestors.com/ Because of the dearth of Ireland records online many good people have contributed information so I suggest you Google your relatives names and birth dates and you may find that someone else has posted information to the internet. I have found a lot of contacts this way. These are just a few suggestions and I'm sure others on the list will come up with a lot more suggestions. Lena
