Hi Jan, Many thanks for your time and effort. I have copies of his tickets of leave, conditional pardons etc. and have been able to trace many of his movements plus childrens births etc. There has been quite a lot recorded about him in Australia as he absconded quite a few times. I hadn't thought, however, to look for his death in another state which I will now do. Many thanks once again for the tip. Hi, Try to go back to the page not wanting to print. Copy paste it into note pad and print from there. I use this about 90% of the time with ancestry.com's records. nelda
