    3.   Hi There were many Monaghans in Dunamore, Kildress parish,  near Cookstown on the road towards Omagh. They were Catholics and some emigrated to the iron producing towns of north east England – Newcastle, Consett, Tow Law, Witton Park and Port Clarence.  Michael Burns --- On Sun, 5/7/09, cotyroneireland-request@rootsweb.com <cotyroneireland-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: From: cotyroneireland-request@rootsweb.com <cotyroneireland-request@rootsweb.com> Subject: COTYRONEIRELAND Digest, Vol 4, Issue 154 To: cotyroneireland@rootsweb.com Date: Sunday, 5 July, 2009, 8:01 AM You are receiving this email because you subscribed to the CoTyroneIreland-D mailing list.  If you no longer wish to receive these messages, please follow the instructions on http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/NIR/CoTyroneIreland.html Today's Topics:    1. Tyrone.  The McKENNA surname generally hails from the southern part of the county - Diocese of Clogher.  You may want to research her siblings who may have remained in the area. -----Original Message----- From: Patricia Coogan <patmikecoogan@comcast.net> To: COTYRONEIRELAND@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, Jul 3, 2009 7:57 am Subject: [CoTyIre] Susan McKenna I just recently found that my ancestor Susan McKenna was from County  Tyrone, Ireland and not County Kilkenny as had been family folklore. She was born in 1827 in Tyrone, Ireland.  She immigrated to England at some point and lived her life there.  She married Michael Bradley but I don't know if that happened in Ireland or England.  Any advice from  other McKenna's on which way to go from here?  Thank you for any advice you can offer.
