Hello again all. Whilst perusing our Jim O'KANE's Ulster Heritage web-site, which I had not visited for quite a while, I found this wonderful article on aspects of marriage in Ulster. It gives an outline of the relevant marriage legislation and practice, at the same time covering topics which sometimes arise about Banns; and talks about how widely apart might be the residences of some parties to a marriage, and the possible reasons for this. Very insightful! In addition, it provides brief marriage details for several people, with some of the surnames mentioned, appearing on many of the Irish lists to which I am a subscriber. Hoping that you might find a lot of interesting and helpful information within it.
