    3. Looking for information on a James I Mellon, born apprx 1852. Have no record of his parents, but he is my great grandfather who apparently was taken to Philadelphia, Pa when he was an infant. He was the father of my grandfather, Thomas J Mellon, who was born in Philadelphia in 1884. Thanks. These beautiful, hand-drawn parchment maps depict plantations, fortifications and townships during the reigns of Elizabeth I and James I. The maps often name the local chiefs and major families in an area - giving family historians a new perspective. The maps can be found here: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/irishmaps.asp Theresa _________________________________________________________________ Add your Gmail and Yahoo!
