Unfortunately for me, Irish World/IFHF's Tyrone coverage is mostly Catholic parishes; some Presbyterian Church records and I think all of four COI parishes, so unless your ancestry in that area is Catholic, you won't find much. My Catholics are in Donegal, not Tyrone, unfortunately. Irish World not added more online in years. I check occasionally, same list. I had hoped that with things coming online with the IFHF, we'd see more parishes/religions, but I guess it's not happening. It could be worse. Their coverage for Fermanagh is practically non-existant. Other nearby places like Monaghan County doesn't even have a center. Ah, the joys of Irish research. I do like the UHF coverage and as a member, I've got my money's worth for the Antrim/Down records. My ancestry is in Tyrone, Donegal, Antrim, Monaghan, Fermanagh and I have two families for which I've never got beyond the dreaded "N. Ireland" broad description. The families are from at least three different religions. Things are improving, slowly. I hope that more becomes available over time. I just might break down those brick walls! It would be nice if I do so before I kick the bucket. :p Bonz -----Original Message----- From: cotyroneireland-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cotyroneireland-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Claire K Sent: Sunday, November 01, 2009 8:41 AM To: Joan Cc: COTYRONEIRELAND@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CoTyIre] Ulster Historical Foundation Like you, most of my folks are in Tyrone (the rest in Donegal), and I have noticed that the UHF is getting more Tyrone material, but it's nowhere near the volume of what they have for Antrim and Down. They will never have Tyrone BMD / parish registers, because the county center for Tyrone (Irish World, formerly Heritage World) (and the affiliated Irish Family History Foundation site) has those.
