    2. Following up on Teena's post to Candace, keep in mind the alternate spelling ROGERS (no 'd') which falls into a different Soundex code entirely. Also Rogers is the English version of the Irish surname McRORY/ McCRORY/ McRORIE, etc. Many McCRORYs used RO(D)GERS when they emigrated (including my own family). So the Irish records could be McCRORY and the Canadian/U.S. records under ROGERS. Best of luck to you, -Clare L.
