    3. Hi Carolyn, I'm not sure I understood your note, esp. re which events were in Ireland and which in the US. But, according to William O'Kane, ed., HEATHER PEAT AND STONE: THE PARISHES OF CO. TYRONE (Dungannon: Irish World, 1992), the townland of Coolkeeragh is in the civil parish of Longfield East and the RC parish of Drumquin (aka Langfield). Note that LOngfield E and W are CIVIL parishes, and LAngfield is an RC parish. Grenham notes the following for dates and locations of surviving Langfield (RC) registers -- http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm? fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Tyrone&parish=Langfield&churchid=364 The burial records (1853-1856) are too late for your Thomas Martin, but possibly not for your Rose Mullin, last reported alive in 1846. If the two sisters you mention married in Ireland, the surviving RC marriage records (1846-1880) might help. Depending on the sisters' ages and marriage dates, the baptism registers (1846-1880) might be helpful for tracing their children, if they stayed in the same parish after marriage. If your folks weren't RC, your best bet for identifying the relevant church records is James Ryan, IRISH RECORDS: SOURCES FOR FAMILY AND LOCAL HISTORY (Dublin: Flyleaf Press, 1997) (pub'd by Ancestry in the US). Hope that helps. Claire K.
