    3. Question about this list on the County Tyrone page... from what year is the list and what is the source? Were the patrons living in IRE or were some schools sponsored by someone who had emigrated? How would one go about finding out more about a certain school? I ask, as there is name listed that might be an ancestor of mine... and his Irish origins have proven to be rather elusive. He immigrated to the US in 1830 at the age of 20, arriving apparently by himself in Baltimore, and his obituary states that he was born in the "town of Liphaven, county of Tyrone, Ireland". 2. Hi Jim I absolutely admire your commitment to this site and your PATIENCE too! People like Len Swindley ( Aussie like myself but I'm in WA) ), thank you so much. This is the best site I've come across as I explore my Irish past (and I was born in N.Ireland!). The history of Ireland is incredibly difficult for people born there, never mind those from abroad. I keep hoping we can find a link to to mine (Beaghs and Newtownstewart). I noticed the Kees also - one of my Fulton cousins visited with a Cecil Kee several years ago - he was related to our Fultons. 3. Wow! Thank you Malcolm for providing these for all to peruse. VERY kind of you. It must have taken a LOT of work. AND how great to read that the relevant Minister is allowing copying of the Register itself for our use. That is very magnanimous of him. AND of course, continued profuse thanks to Len for all of the extra work which he has put in on this project. Our CTI list web-site is testament to the wonderful resources which can be made available to all, with a lot of work by a small number of caring and giving individuals, who sacrifice a lot of their own private time, to our benefit. May others now follow in Malcolm’s footsteps and provide their own little gems of information. 3. Hello all. I believe I have found an spelling error in St. John's Church of Ireland, Castlederg marriage cards. The card has Letitia Colhoun marrying on 22 April 1827 to Robert Love. Love should be Lone; the compiler of the marriage card misread the letter "n" as "v". Proof is taken from "Burke's Irish Family Records (1976)" on page 732 under LOANE: "ROBERT LOANE, of Dernaseak, recorded as "Robert Lone" in Derg Parish Reg vol i 1807-09, m (lic 22 April 1827), Letitia, dau. of James Colhoun, of Luremore, Castlederg, co Tyrone, and had issue," Probably the card for Anne Love marrying James Robinson on 23 April 1833 is also in error and her name should be Anne Lone.
