    1. [CoTyIre] Emerald Ancestors
    2. Theresa Forsyth
    3. Hi Claudia I've been fairly lucky with Emerald Ancestors but it certainly doesnt have all the available records and what it has are just for the 6 counties in Northern Ireland. Because all my family lines lead back to Ireland and many to the North and I also do a fair amount of research for others, I took out membership. In your case, the records I sent were the only ones I found on the site for you so it wouldnt be worth your while taking out membership. It's also quite sometime now since any new records were added to the site, but whenever more appear, I'll certainly do a quick check for you. cheers Theresa _________________________________________________________________ MSN straight to your mobile - news, entertainment, videos and more. http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/147991039/direct/01/

    3. Hello Ron. Hopefully others might be able to give you better quality advice, but in the meantime here is the best that I can do. Try going to this URL: http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/gv_place_search_form.php (the Griffiths valuation site). I put in Brackey in the placename search engine. It gave me Killybrackey as the only response. I then hit MAPS, but got lost in it. You might have better luck with it. (I have not searched on www.seanruad.com for Brackey or Killybrackey etc.) Also, I strongly suggest that you try Murray's m.lynn@paradise.net.nz Kiwi Celts site. Here is an extract from one of his postings about it in March: "I have just updated the database for Interactive Administrative District map of Ireland <http://ireland.kiwicelts.com/irishMap/ireMap.html> to show all townlands, the 1851 and 1861 civil parishes, RC parishes, Baronies and PLUs for Armagh and Tyrone This makes the database complete for all of Northern Ireland" HTH: Ray in oz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Chapman" <avron@paradise.net.nz> ... 3. Try http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk You can get on line maps free but I must say I have more success searching by postcode than townland. They also do paper maps including N Ireland. Northern Ireland used to have its own OS organisation- which is now part of something else but a bit of it is still at http://www.osni.gov.uk/mapstore.htm I have used Elstead maps and can recommend them http://www.elstead.co.uk http://www.alangodfreymaps.co.uk do historical maps but they tend to be mostly of towns.
