Many thanks, To Janet and Seamus for your help, it pinpoints the old and current location of Banard House beautifully, it also shows that Pastor Ville House (the home of many of the early Newcastle parish priests) was re named Boolahallagh House of which I was unaware, sadly it is now only ruins. What I still do not know is the extent of Banard, I have several references that show it as part of upper Boolahallagh and also upper Garryduff, can anyone shed further light on the boundaries of this area.
