Hi from another John Ryan. We have at least half a dozen John Ryan's in our family and a similar number of James Ryan's. The farthest back I can go is to the 1830's when one of my James Ryans from Tipperary married an Anne O'Beien from Limerick. They had at least one son John, a daughter Mary and another Honora. I can't believe how common the name Ryan is in Ireland. Hi John Ryan, Would you believe that half the families on the main road here are Ryan's? but only 2 of them are John's. The other John Ryan lives over on the other road. Nicknames are big here. 3 John Ryan's within a few miles. I do have a whole lot of the Ryan genealogy up into the 1600's and after that they breed like coat hangers in the dark and I can't get the lines figured out. Very frustrating. I still have to go back through that census and pick up the placenames for those nicknames. Janet On Mon, Mar 5, 2012 at 11:38 PM, John Ryan <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi from another John Ryan.
