Luckily Clare was familiar with County Tipperary surnames, civil parishes and townlands be she found one of very many transcribing error on Ancestry. One always needs to check the original source (film) when finding a record online because someone transcribed those records and I am telling you not everyone sees a document and transcribes it the same. I always warn the searcher on my site to check the records/film and not take my transcribing as a source document. Anyone out there that lives far away from a Family History Center so can't view films can write me off the list if they find a name on any of my tithes that maybe theirs. I have scanned most of my tithes to images and if you can give me the name of civil parish and the townland, if I have the image, I will send this to you so you will then have the 'source' document. This is only an offer for those subscribed to the CoTipperary list and don't have access. I don't have them all but a lot. Even this week I scanned some parishes but not others due to condition of the film. Curiously Ancestry had all these listed as in the C. P. of Templetenny not > Temple-etney > -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
