Hi, I have reached a brick wall with my husband's ancestor Patrick Gibbs. He is from Killurney, County Tipperary. He married Anastasia McGrath around 1842/43. Their first two children were named William Gibbs (b. 1843, must have died young) and William (b. 15 Jan 1844). That makes me think Patrick's father must have been William. However, when I go to the IFHC site and put in Patrick Gibbs, there are several born in the early 1800's and none of them have the father William (in fact, I don't know who the father is as it does not list him, unless I buy the record). There are several Patrick Gibbs born in that timeframe and I don't know which one he is. There appears to be a Patrick Gibbs that died in 1885 (born 1820) and it was reported in Clonmel. So that is most likely him. If I order the death record, will that give me more information? If so, how can I order the record. Does anyone have any advice on how I can find out more information about Patrick and his parents? Thanks, Annette
