    3. Annette Kilsheelan RC parish covers Killurney but the records only start in 1840. So if Patrick Gibbs was born in Killurney you are unlikely to find any record there . About the death cert it gives name,cause of death, residence at death, age and occupation also informant's name and perhaps relationship (not always) but does not give parent's names.     3. Clare, Thanks for the information. I will order the death record and hope it gives his wife's name as she was still alive, I believe when he died. So do you think that the Patrick Gibbs early birth/baptism records that I found on the IFHC site in South Tipperary, are probably not him? Gibbs is a fairly uncommon name in South Tipperary and I have found all (so far) to be related.
