    3. Our messages crossed. I meant that In Kilsheelan parish you can't get earlier baptismal or marriage records. I'd look at land records. I don't know if findmypast has tithe apploments for Killurney Temple-etney Civil parish. if they have and if there is a Gibbs listed you won't be able to get any earlier relevant parish records and it will be difficult to make any connections with Gibbs in other areas. Hope this makes sense. 3. Clare, I have not bought any IFHF records yet, as I was uncertain if any of them were my Patrick Gibbs. In the Griffiths valuation, there is a Thomas Gibbs in Killurney. I wonder if that is Patrick's father? I think Griffiths valuation was valid in 1850. There is also 3 other Gibbs in County Tipperary - William - Baptistgrange Michael - Grangemockler Catherine - Kilvemnon in GV. I looked at Tithe apploments for Temple-etney and I wonder if I am looking in the right place? Because not only did I not find any Gibbs, but I didn't find any townland called Killurney. Can someone send me the link please? Thanks, Annette On Wed, Feb 15, 2012 at 2:25 PM, Clare Tuohy <[email protected]> wrote: > Our messages crossed.
