Lance Geographically, Clonmel is on County Tipperary. However, it is in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. Diocese don't stick to county boundaries. The diocese of Waterford and Lismore comes up as far as and includes the parish and town of Cahir. Likewise, the diocese of Cashel and Emly goes into part of Co. Limerick. It does not cover part of the northern part of the county either. North of Borrisoleigh is in the diocese of Killaloe. Also, Killaloe diocese goes up to Birr in Co. Offaly and goes right to the sea in west Clare. This applies all over the country. Betty.
