Lethbridge Herald (Alberta, Canada) 4 December 1950 South Pioneer Called by Death Funeral services were held inSt John's anglican Church at Pincher Creed for a resident, Philip Lucas, who died at his residence here. Born at Rockvale, Newport, County of Tipperary, Ireland, 82 years ago, he moved to Macleod in 1893, and worked on a number of large Southern Alberta ranches. During 1907 he married Miss Mary Upton of Yarrow. The couple retired from their district farm in 1927 and settled in Pincher Creek. Surviving are Mrs Lucas; a daughter, Mis Phyllis Lucas of Pincher Creek; a daughter-in-law, Mrs G Lucas of Pincher Creek; a sister in England and one graondson.
