Wellsboro Gazette, 19 May 1927 (Pennsylvania) Death of Mrs O'Donnell, Aged Morris Run Lady The funeral of Mrs Maria O'Donnell, who died at the family home in Morris Run last Thursday evening, was held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday Afternoon from St Joseph's Catholic church in that place. Rev J B Leonard officiating, burial was made in St Andrew's cemetery, Blossburg, beside her late husband P E O'Donnell. Hon F R Smith, T V Keefe, J F Keefe, Dr L G Cole and Dr John Riley. of Vlossburg and J F Eberle, of Westfield acted as pall bearers. Mrs O'Donnell was born in Clogheen, County Tipperary, Ireland about 83 years ago and came to this country as a young woman. For more than 60 years she has been a resident of Morris Run, where her husband was engaged as Paymaster for the mining company. At his death several years ago, new coalfields were opened up and operated by his sons. Mrs O'Donnell held the esteem of friends throughout the entire State. She is survived by three sons, John, William F and Robert; two daughters, Mary and Catherine of Morris Run' also one brother, William Fitzpatrick of San Francisco California.
