Hoping some of you wise listers out there can help me. I am looking at the new online records for Sologhead parish for my GLEESON family and found some of them in Ballinulty. There appear to be Gleesons there in Ballinulty from the early 1800's. The question is: I know that boundaries have shifted over the years - so is there another parish that I would expect to find Ballinulty records in? I have been searching surrounding parishes, but not having much luck so far. In Sologhead, I have found three pertinent records in the early 1840's, but am missing two children that were most likely born in the middle to late 1830's. I can find no birth for their father Launcelot (with a name like that you couldn't miss it) nor his marriage to Bridget Bourke circa the early 1830's. Another unusual family Christian name is Marcus, most likely used for both Launcelot's father and a brother. Malachia is another family name and I have found a birth and two marriages as another possible brother to Launcelot. Cheers to all, Wynnette.
