Gay, I am sure this is actually Quillinan, although I am also sure he used Quilliman in Canada. He is one I'd like to know more about, if there is anything to find. There are 3 James born around that time from Anacarty, and one other James whose mother was a Fitzgerald that is more likely, and actually born in 1840, baptised in Murroe. I am hoping this is him. Hello Janet Following James, Lucretia and family is info re John Quilliman and wife Catherine Slattery - I wonder if these two families are connected - perhaps John, also born in Tipp, is uncle to James.
