Hi listers Looking for anything about the families of my great great grandparents Philip McGrath and Honora O'Brien. Honora was born in about 1815 in Emly, Tipperary and died on 8 August 1894 in Sydney. Philip was born in about 1809 in Tipperary. They married at St Michael's, Limerick on 24 September 1844. Philip worked on the railways and died on 9 October 1866 in a railway accident at the Waterford & Limerick Railway Terminus (the Limerick City Coroner has his name as "Magrath"). Approximately 10 years after Philip's death Honora and three of their children (Johannah b 1852, Mary b 1853 and Bridget b 1856) went to NZ to join Honora's brother (? Philip O'Brien) and then to Sydney. The other children remained in Ireland other than one son who went to America. Their names were Ellen (b 18??), James (b 1848), Jeremiah (b 1850) and Philip (b 1860). I think Honora's parents were John O'Brien and Johannah Breen and Philip's were Jacobus McGrath and Alice Finn but my information is less solid on this point.
