    3. 1861: William Looby/Luby & Susan Hogan alias Sadlier, Newchapel Does the above entry indicate that SADLIER is Susan's maiden name & that she married TWICE--1st to a HOGAN and 2nd to William LOOBY/LUBY or do I have that backwards & Susan's maiden name was HOGAN & she married 1st to SADLIER & 2nd to Wm. LOOBY/LUBY?) Also, Janet, did the actual record have both spellings LOOBY and LUBY on it (or were you simply providing an alternate spelling)? I am pretty sure she was Sadlier, married Hogan, and then remarried to Looby. The records can have either Looby or Luby depending on the year and who was doing the spelling. I provided both options to help with searching. I'll post this part of my message again later. Bill has very kindly put all of Lattin and all of Clerihan onto Excel spreadsheets for me, and I have been going through Lattin first to find the errors made by the transcriber and the original scribe and a few typos I made. It is going to take me days yet just to finish Lattin. Christina thinks she will be able to put the spreadsheet on her website after that, and the spreadsheet will be far more accurate than the transcription and will lump each family together. So far I have found many original errors, mostly when the scribe incorrectly remembered the father's or mother's correct Christian name. There are also many errors mixing up Ryan and Brien, for example, or Phelan and Whelan, or Hogan and Horan. I am debating explaining these on messages but there may be too many to do that. There are also many "Unique" entries where there is just one baptism and they are not marked as illegitimate; these will require one to use TFHR to find another parish where the final answers may lie. It may be they married in another parish and had just one child in this one. They may have just been traveling through, and Clerihan has many entries for "travelers". They may be illegitimate children and will be found re-baptised in another parish. The records I posted will only get you so far and the rest you will have to dig out yourself. If anyone has a particular ad intense interest in either of these two parishes and really, really wants/needs the spreadsheets when finished, please e-mail me directly and eventually I will get it to you. And thanks for the thanks!! It is appreciated. Janet
