>From June 14-29 we will be in Ireland chasing down some dead ancestors (and, I am sure, some live breweries, distilleries, and pubs). After a night with a cousin near Dublin we will stay a week in the Castletownroche, County Cork area, home to two of my grandparents and also Kilcoran nearby (about 17 miles) in County Tipperary (where the widow of Christopher the O'Meighan came with her three sons after Christopher was killed in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690 and where Charlotte Therese Boitel and her infant son Jean Joseph came after Guillaume de Mehegan's death in France in 1766. We think our Castletownroche Mehigan/Meehan's came from there) We then will be touring and traveling up the west coast, staying at Oughterand in County Galway for two nights then on to Manorhamilton in County Leitrim, formerly Balleighmeehan, ancestral home of the Meehan/Mehigan clan. We then travel by way of the Boyne valley to Dublin where we will stay in the Trinity College area the rest of the trip.
