Brian, I have one more thing that might help. TFHR had told us that (your) Daniel was the son of Daniel Doherty Sr., which the dates contradicted. You now know that your Daniel was the son of John, and Daniel Sr. did have a brother, John bap. Dec. 20th, 1829 in Cummer, Kilcommon parish, son of Owen Doherty and Catherine Quigley. I have no information on John's marriage or children in my records. Your Daniel born c. 1852 could well fit as one of his children.
