    3. Hello List, I am new to list but I understand how hard it is to find records if one does not know parishes etc; Some one may be looking at this family or SKS may be able to help. Records here (Oz) are not thick on the ground with details, but this is what I have: Joseph Franklin b. c1806 Tipperary d.1882 Aust. F.John M. Mary married C1833 Tipperary to Johanna Ryan b, c1806 Tipperary d.1892 Aust. f. Patrick Ryan m. ?? (possible Johanna nee "Ryan") Known Children b.Tipperary Patrick Mary c1834 Bridget c1838 John. The family left Ireland for Aust.abt 1842,Joseph became a landholder here and named the property Tipperrary. They were of the Catholic faith. If anyone can offer assistance I would be most grateful,I would like to know more about their Irish roots. Thanks in anticpation, Michael.

    3. Hi Michael, Have you found details of the arrival in Australia? There is an arrival in 1841 on the "Larne" which lists Joseph FRANKLIN, wife Judith (RYAN) and children Mary, Bridget & John. This looks like it might be the right family and the record appears to show they were from Tipperary, Co Tipperary. See Peter Madden's site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~maddenps/TIPPEM1.htm for the Tipperary Emigrant Index.
