Hello all, Is there anyone on the list who may be able to help me with my "Brickwall" Family names in my tree include Hastings/Johnson/Costello. John Hastings was born possibly in Limerick but I have been unable to trace him. However with the release of the 1901 census he appears at 25Caher Abbey Upper Cahir. Occupation Letter Carrier/Postman. His wife is Mary (nee Nagle) or so I believe. She was born 1844 died in Cahir in 1905. In 1911 census John is a widower living at 7Mountain Road Cahir Occupation Postman. Children of this marriage are; Margaret Hastings my maternal granmother born Cahir 1865 James Hastings born 1867 Cahir died 9Feb 1900 in Clogheen workhouse John Hastings born Cahir 1872 Bridget Hasting born Cahir1873 Bridget I believe in 1911 census is living in London as a cook. Sarah Hastings born Cahir 1875 Mary born Cahir 1878 sailed to Australia in Aug 1912 arriving Sydney Oct 1912. Mary Became a Nun in Australia & died in the early 1960's at a convent in Tokyo Japan. Dennis Hastings born Cahir 1880 also went to Australia at the same time as Mary but apart from landing I have no further information on him. If anyone on this list can help I would be very grateful.
