Hi All! My own research is on hold for now as I am not in the best of health and my 96 year old mother lives with me on in home respite care. But I ask that if any kind soul out there comes across information on the following and could get back to me, I would appreciate it very much. Thomas Cleary bd unknown but known to be married to: Mary Duly having had a son named James bd date unkown. This same Thomas Cleary is known to have had another wife named Mary Pardon and they produced a son Thomas on Sept. 9 1838 dicocese of Killaloe, St. Brenden, Birr Sponsors John Nevin, Ellen Hayden and officiating priest, John Spain PP. The information on the son named James was from a marriage document found at St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's, PA USA. The families were clearly connected but what I can't confirm is if the men were full brothers or half brothers as some times the woman's name was given as her maiden name or her married name. Also the woman could have been married prior to marrying the elder Thomas Cleary I know the area was that part of Tipperary bordering on Offaly. Duly is in cursive writing and could be a phonetic spelling. James married a Margaret Jane Hogan whose father's first name was not given but the mother's name is listed as Mary Smith both of Tipperary as is The Elder Thomas Cleary which records indicate he was from Tipperary along with two women names as mothers to the children. The witnesses to the wedding of James and Margaret are given as Patrick Cradigan and Mary Xowell (first letter could be a P or L. Certificate bears a date in Jan. 1865. Believe Margaret may have had a sister name Jennie. Thank you in advance for anyone who comes across any info that would be helpful.
