    3. Hi everyone, Here's my contribution to the list roll-call, although it's not that long ago that I put my interests up on the list anyway - but you never know who might be around, so here goes :) I am looking for anyone researching the name EGGERS/EGGARS or CUDMORE EGGERS in Ireland - predominately in Limerick, Dublin and Tipperary. In particular, I am seeking descendants of Paul CUDMORE EGGERS and Jane Margaret HALL of Roscrea, Tipperary. Paul CUDMORE EGGERS was born c1790 in Limerick, and married Jane Margaret HALL c1825-6, and they were supposed to have had 18-20 children, although I only know of about 11 or 12 children. Paul CUDMORE EGGERS was a compositor/printer in Castle St, Roscrea for about 50 years from the mid-1820's, and both Paul and Jane Margaret are buried in one of the churchyards in Roscrea. The family surname has varied in usage throughout the years between EGGERS and CUDMORE EGGERS. The known children of Paul and Jane Margaret CUDMORE EGGERS are as follows: Horatio Nelson CUDMORE EGGERS b pre-1829 (m CURRY in Galway, Ireland) Amelia CUDMORE EGGERS b c1830 (m HARRIS in Australia) Eldon CUDMORE EGGERS b c1831 (unmarried, died in Australia) Matilda EGGERS b c1832 (m MILLER in Australia) Alfred William Henry EGGERS b c1833 (m UNTHANK in Australia) Tellira Charlotte Ann EGGERS b c1835 (m WATSON in Australia) Paul CUDMORE EGGERS b c1836 (m CLELAND in Limerick, Ireland) Elizabeth CUDMORE EGGERS b c1837 (unmarried, died in Australia) Lucinda CUDMORE EGGERS b c1841 or c1848 (m DENTON in Australia) William CUDMORE EGGERS b c1844 (living in Dublin, Ireland in the 1870's) Mary Jane EGGERS b c1847 (unmarried, died in Australia) Eight of the children (two sons, six daughters) are known to have migrated to Australia in the 1850's and 1860's (one of the daughters is known to have gone on to New Zealand), and another child, probably one of the sons, is thought to have gone to the US. Possibly the major brickwall for me at the moment is find out what happened to Horatio and to William. Horatio married Jane Hannah CURRY in Galway in 1846, but I have found no record of them after that time. And William was known to be living in Dublin in the 1870s, but what happened to him after that, I don't know. It may well be that either Horatio, or William, or both, emigrated to the US or elsewhere. I have also made the recent discovery that John Cleland EGGERS, the son of Paul CUDMORE EGGERS jnr, died in New Zealand in the 1920s. If you are researching any of the branches of this family, I would like to make contact with you. Best wishes, Nicholas Batley Sydney, Australia
