He was of Philleigh, aged 29, bachelor, farmer. He was born 31 Dec 1826 at St Ewe and baptized at Lower Sitcker, St Austell Wesleyan Circuit 11 Feb 1827, and died 1893 in the Bolton RD, Manchester, presumably at 40 Heaton Road, Lostock Junction, Rumworth, where they lived. The bride was Sarah Ann Courts, the daughter of Nicholas Courts and Alithea Ridward. She was their only child to survive to adulthood, was aged 20 and a spinster living at Lostwithiel, where her father was a blacksmith. She was born at Lostwithiel in 1836 and baptized at the Parish Church 2 October 1836. She also died in the Bolton RD in 1906. They married at the Parish Church in Lostwithiel 9 Oct 1856.
