    3. Hi Nivard There was only one Laregan (Lariggan) in Penzance when I lived there (born and bred) it was one of the old estates which had been split up for good quality housing, in the early 1930's. The main part lies between Penzance and Newlyn thus joining the two together. "Meredyth" would be the name given to the house (very popular in those days!) Nearest Church of E would be St.Peters Newlyn but there are also the Methodist churches and other C of E in Penzance, plus Catholic, Baptist, and the Borough cemetery in St.Clare Street, Penzance - about a mile north of West Cornwall Hospital. 1942 was during the war, the year of the 'great raid on Penzance' according to Lord Haw! Haw! Can't remember if Laregan was involved - I left in 1954. 3. Hi Pat Thanks for your input Although it was during the war years it was not as a result of the war but appendicitis followed by peritonitis, I doubt there would be any problem these days There is a Catholic element in the family but later so am unsure if he was or not, the living relative thinks they were baptised in Newlyn so I suspect not I can see now there are several Lariggan and Laregan addresses all close to each other between Penzance and Newlyn which fits in with the description I have been given The address is not so important as his last resting place According to Genuki, Newlyn does not have its own burial site and burials would be at Sheffield Road Cemetery, Paul Apparently the MIs have been recorded, would anyone have access to them please?
