An aunt of mine trained as a teacher in Truro back in the 1920's. I googled it and found a small reference. Does anyone know where any records are kept? David Henwood CFHS 00037 DFHS 00135
David There is also a book entitled "Training in Truro 1813-1938" by M Graham Brown which was published in 1938. As well as describing the history of teacher training in Truro, it also has a list of former staff and old students. Clearly, the book is long out of print but there are second-hand copies around. I see you are a CFHS member so it may be worth having a word with someone in the Truro office as I recall that Mr Parkes has done quite a bit of research into the Diocesan Training College.
