The West Briton (Friday, 12 Dec 1856) reported the following marriage: > MARRIAGES > > At St. Ives, Mr. Thomas THOMPSON TO Miss Mary FAULL, both of that town. However, both the St. Ives marriage register and the civil marriage registration show the names as James THOMPSON and Mary Faull WILLIAMS. With due allowance for spelling of the groom's surname, those records agree with the report appearing the same day in The Royal Cornwall Gazette (Friday, 12 Dec 1856): "At St. Ives, Mr. James THOMSON, to Miss Mary Faull WILLIAMS."
