There is a John Broad born Pelynt, aged 10 living with parents John Broad and Mary Ann and with a brother James aged 4 (among others) on the 1851 census. In 1861 he is a carter living with John Ashton, farmer, and family at Porth, St Blazey (see Freecen) There is a marriage of a Frances J Broad aged 44 to Simon Phillips at Juniata, Pennsylvania 21 Jun 1886.
