I am still trying to tie up some loose ends with my John WALTER family - in 1881 Census for Werrington family were at Tetteridge by 1891 they are scattered to the winds. My ggrandmother Mary Doidge Broad (nee WALTER) is at Pillaton, St Germans with her husband and family AND with her is mother - Mary A WALTER and nephew(?) Simeon mother is described as WIDOW. Up to now I have not been able to find death of father JOHN WALTER B 1825 but possible is John WALTER aged 75 Wringsdown, Launceston death is reported by J A Reed - whose wife is Katherine Mary WALTER. Mary Doidge had sister Catherine and Katherine Mary is the right age Can anyone give me an idea whether Wringsdown is a house, farm or village. If this is the right person - why is Mary A Walter described as Widow. ... Diana
