Hi Bob Unfortunately Timaru is on South Island and I will only be able to visit the North of North Island. Organising my trip to the US last year was quite complex but this is even more complex and has really tested my organisation skills. Trying to fit in with my family and friends and make sure that I don't fly for more than 8 hours at a time was very complex - hence I will be staying with my friends in the Emirates (having lived there for 11 years), then a couple of days in Singapore. I've promised myself that this will be the last of my long distance travels. I have promised my friends that I will go back to India one day and I must visit Cyprus where some of my friends have retired to and where I went to boarding school in the early 1950s. After that it will be Europe only...or better still, perhaps I will stay in beautiful Cornwall.
