The West Briton (Friday, 28 Nov 1851) reported on the death of Thomas WHITE at Ludgvan: > DEATHS (the far right side of the column was quite blurred, and hard to > read) > > At Ludgvan, on Friday last, Mr. Thomas WHITE, aged 4[8?] years. Thomas WHITE (s/o Thomas WHITE & Elizabeth MATTHEWS) was baptized at Madron on 13 Mar 1808, and he married Catherine WARREN at Towednack on 18 Sep 1834. He and his family lived at Chypons, Towednack at the 1841 Census and at Chyangweal, Ludgvan at the 1851 Census, with Thomas described as a tin miner at both of those enumerations. Following his death at Lower Quarter in Ludgvan, he was buried at Ludgvan on 23 Nov 1851, with the burial register indicating that his age was 43 ["3" and "8" look very similar when the printed text is blurred and hard to read].
