Hi - I've been transcribing St. Austell baptisms using the online images at http://pilot.familysearch.org, and have discovered that some - definitely not all - of the images associated with St. Austell have portions of the dates cut off. Thankfully, I still have the films at my local FHC, so went to double check, and sure enough, the dates were clear and crisp on the films. What seems to have caused the problem were the images which weren't completely in alignment - the page "tipped" just a bit. As a result, the top was lined up, but the bottom had the dates cut off! I'm using the dates from the films at the FHC, so for those researchers interested in St. Austell, please do check my website should you encounter the problem. Plus, I'm including the LDS image number on the transcripts I've done recently - and may go back and add them to all the transcriptions once all the baptisms and burials are complete... say in another 5 years!
