The groom was indeed Richard GILLIS (born ca. 1823 Ludgvan, s/o Richard GILLIS & Jennifer CURNOW), and he was a farmer at the time of his marriage. The bride was actually Lavinia DANIEL (bapt. 04 Dec 1832 St. Buryan, d/o Thomas Hosken DANIEL & Kitty Argall VINGOE). The Ludgvan marriage register indicates that the event took place on 07 Oct 1851.
