Or does it just refer to the oblong shape tablets? I have a chemists' mould which I believe was for, um suppositories - could these have been the capsules involved? I seem to recall that Boots used to be known as 'manufacturing chemists'. Was this person making medicines in the back shop of a chemists or in some kind of factory? A factory is more likely I think.
