    3.  Alan,  have you considered UNGER as a variant? There were AUNGER/UNGER  marriages around Falmouth/Mylor in the 18th century. Linked to TRESIDDER. I've been running the TRESEDER/TRESIDDER One Name Study for many years & am not a member of GOONS.   I know there is one registered now  but I was first in the field about 20 years ago. Then it just didn't seem worth joining it. Even though I made myself known on the TRESIDDER List and elsewhere and answered many enquiries, few people ever  reciprocated to help me fill in the gaps, so the pointlessness of joining GOONS was confirmed. There are a lot of folk doing family history who 'suck but don't want to blow' when it comes to information. As regards ODGERS, there are some in my line with a link to DONNITHORNE (Truro) Regards Stephen Now that it seems my message appears to have had several positive responses can I ask if anyone has links to Auger/Augur/Augar Odger/Odgers please contact me Although not registered with Goons I am also interested in Anger a more than common misspelling along with August as a local family of Auger from Ringwood changed to August Could it have been a hard of hearing registrar and/or an individual with a distinct local accent
