Hi Barbara I have just done a search on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for Alexander Vaile. I could not find an entry that matched an Alexander Vaile, in either WW1 or WW2. The only fellow who was a member of the RAF in WW1, was a Laurence Edward Stuart Vaile, 2nd Lieutenant. Strange - I just did a search for one of mine, using both fore- and surnames. Nil results. Tried again with only the initial of his forename - and there he is! Mind you, I also tried A Vaile and Alexander Vaile and got nil result.
