Barbara I've also checked the CWGC under the name VALE, and again no matching details for an Alexander, or any A names that were sergeants in the RAF. They may have to go back to the original records, check them, and on the basis of their documentation write to the UK Imperial War Museum, or the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and probably another bureaucratic body or two. Unfortunately, it's probably too late before they leave to do anything now. Thank you Rowena, We have looked into all sites and no Alexander Vaile or Vale. We found his birth in Sept 1890 in Fulham and that Teresa was his wife not his mother married 1917 in Paddington. We have looked into the death reg. No Alexander Vaile there. I wish my husbands friend gave us more time to look.
