Hi Keith, According to the Wendron Register book of Baptisms 1842-1870 there was a baptism for a Joseph Johns SHUGG p: Samuel Shugg and Anne Thomas on the 31st of Oct. 1853. It is entered with other baptisms for that year in chronological order. Please let me know if I can check any other entries for you.
