Is Water the sic. for Walter.  Alce is Al(i)ce, An is An(n), Antony is Ant(h)noy, Margrit or Margret is (Margaret), but sometimes they have 'Walter' and sometimes 'Water', is Water a forename in the 1500 & 1600s?  Regards, Donald E.
