Dear Louise, Most Parishes had Church Villages. They were the collection of houses round the church. The William Sobye who married Ann Treverton did have a Father named John but it was not the John in Lanivet. His son William remained unmarried. I am sending you the Lanivet John's line off list. So far I have not connected the William who married Ann Treverton though.
