Dear Marg. Having received your info, I could not resist having a look at the census of 1851. I found John and his family in the Ecc District of Chacewater but living at an address of Wheal Daniel. (the next entries are Blackwater). The map reference for Wheal Daniel is 10/ 74-44 The map reference for Blackwater is 10/ 74-34 This tells us that they were living at or almost in Blackwater on the opposite side of the road from the Parish of St Agnes. This makes your St Agnes ,John, look most likely Regards Bill Phillips
