Sorry me 'ansums must have had a senior moment and forgot to spell out the limitations of the Gulval school enrolments! The record is of "Gulval Parish - School Admissions 1913-1946" The names are added to the list, in alphabetical order, each year, together with the child's number so, for each initial letter, the numbers jump around as does some of the writing! No other information. Probably outside the limits of most people's research but interesting if you are trying to bring the family forward and find out where they were living and went to school. Unfortunately it doesn't give a year of admission for individual children. The name of the school is Gulval Cross and the Register was issued to the Head Teacher on 28th March 1913, not far off 100 years ago - must watch out for Centenary celebrations next year! I knew some of the pupils, several of whom went back as teachers later on and became head teacher. Believe it or not, the front page was signed by E. C. Harvey on behalf of 'School Managers or Local Education Authority'. He was around Penzance in my time and I wasn't born in 1913!!! He was one time Mayor of Penzance. Cheers Pat
